HarborLink Network Adds Vandalia, OH to Growing List of Municipal Networks

10/19/06-Dayton, OH- HarborLink Network, a pioneer in the development and deployment of advertising-based free wireless Internet, today announced that it will be extending its network to include the City of Vandalia, Ohio.

Vandalia city officials have agreed to a three year contract which will provide certain areas of the city with HarborLink’s service.  The network will cover the main strip of Route 40 between Ranchview and Grosbeck and along Dixie between Imperial and Elva as well as the athletic fields at the Vandalia Recreations Center.

“We are very excited to offer the citizens and guests of Vandalia the same great access we offer throughout the country at all of our sites”, said Rick Tangeman, President of HarborLink Network.  “We see Vandalia as a vital link to bringing other networks we operate together to create a technology corridor throughout the Miami Valley and beyond.”

The service will begin in December of 2006.

HarborLink Network currently owns and operates over 325 locations in 34 states and is continuing to expand.  In addition to their single site venues, most notably Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar restaurants, HarborLink has continued to grow their Municipal network presence, and added venues that include public libraries, college campuses, and public mass transit. HarborLink Network, Ltd., formerly a division of The R.B. Tangeman Co., Inc., was founded in 1999.  HarborLink’s network, as it exists today, began rollout in 2002 and has been praised as a leader in the development of free, advertising-based Wi-Fi hot spots.
