Centerville offers free high-speed Internet access areas
CENTERVILLE — Access to high-speed Internet service just became easier for people in the Centerville area.
The city has joined with HarborLink Network to offer the free service in high traffic locations including:
• The downtown area near Main & Franklin streets;
• Main & Spring Valley Road, including the business district near Kroger;
• Benham's Grove, 166 N. Main St., and
• The area around South Suburban Road near Centerville High School.
Wi-Fi, wireless fidelity, describes the embedded technology of wireless local area networks.
There's no cost to the city, citizens or area businesses.
"As technology continues to grow and expand, we thought it was important to offer this free service to our community," Centerville City Manager Greg Horn said.
The city joins Dayton, Vandalia, Worthington, and Grove City as HarborLink's metro zones.
